Quick-Reviews: Bon Jovi & Pretty Maids

Hey folks,

first of all I wish you guys a Happy New Year! I hope you enjoyed the time with your loved ones.
After a long break (I think 3 months) I finally found the time to write some new stuff here. I posted my review to the forthcoming GOTTHARD album some hours ago and now I'd like to write something down to two major releases from the end of last year:

- BON JOVI - "This House Is Not For Sale"
- PRETTY MAIDS - "Kingmaker"

CD-Review: Pretty Maids - "Louder Than Ever"

The Danish cult rockers PRETTY MAIDS don't want to take a break: it's exactly one year ago when Ronnie Atkins and Co. released their latest album "Motherland", which was followed by a long European-Tour. Inbetween they recorded their new effort "Louder Than Ever" - an album that consists of re-recordings from songs of the 1995 - 2006 era, plus four brand new tracks. Let's see if those new versions make sense.

Song Of The Year 2013: # 05 - 01

Hello folks,

my first ranking comes to an end with this post. These are the five best songs in 2013 for me: a bombastic Metal Opera song, a tough Melodic Rocker, an energetic Power Ballad, a feel-good Party-Anthem and finally a dreamy Symphonic Metal Ballad. What about your favorites???

Exclusive INTERVIEW with Ronnie Atkins (Pretty Maids)

Ronnie Atkins, the voice of Danish cult-rockers Pretty Maids, just released the new album "Motherland" with his band. To me he's one of the best singers in the genre and so it is an honor, that he had the time to answer my questions. Ronnie talked about the new Pretty Maids album as well as about his involvement in the new Avantasia record "The Mystery Of Time" and lots of other things. Check it out!

The Danish melodic metallers of Pretty Maids are about to release their new single "Mother Of All Lies" on January 22, 2013! Click on the cover artwork to listen to a snippet of that song. It's taken from the forthcoming album "Motherland", which will be released in spring 2013 via Frontiers Records. There isn't a final tracklist yet, but here are some songtitles: "I See Ghosts", "The Iceman", "Why So Serious", "To Fool A Nation", "Motherland".
