after my list of the biggest disappointments in 2015 I'd like to reveal my TOP 10 songs of the year 2015 today. The following ten songs stood the test of time. Those are the ones that touched me somehow. I can't stop listening to these tunes, so if you don't know some of these tracks check them out. I tried to add a Youtube-Videoif possible.

What have Kiske/Somerville, The Codex, Allen/Lande and Primal Fear in common? They are all projects/bands where guitar-wizard Magnus Karlsson is involved. Especially with the Allen/Lande project he catapultedhimselfto Metal heaven. Magnus has the ability to write songs that are extremely catchy and anthemic, but still heavy and not cheesy. It's a balance act and he does it very well. But most of all he has a sense for melodies that fit the singers perfectly. So it was no wonder that Magnus presented us his first solo record "Free Fall" with a bunch of guest singers in 2013. Now his second solo outing will be released in November. "Kingdom Of Rock" is an album title, that sounds very over the top, so let's see if this record can do justice to its title.
When the first Kiske/Somerville album was released in 2010 the resonance of fans and press was great , so the question was: will there be a sequel? Everybody was hoping so. In the meantime there was lots of talking. Michael Kiske and producer Mat Sinner told me already in 2013 a new Kiske/Somerville record is on the way and it will be great. But then another two years went by and now "City Of Heroes" will finally hit the stores on April 17th. Can this album keep up to its high expectations?

This guy is the mastermind behind the Allen/Lande project as well as The Codex, Kiske/Somerville or Last Tribe ... and of course don't forget his full-time job as the guitar player of the power metal band Primal Fear. With all these activities you might think his timetable is full enough, but Magnus seems to bubbling over with creativity. He released his first solo album "Free Fall" a few days ago and even this is a solo record Magnus invited lots of guest singers on this one.

Finally, Magnus produced his first solo album "Free Fall", which will be released in June via Frontiers Records. So he took the time to talk to me about all his activities. Check it out!
Swedish Axeman Magnus Karlsson (Last Tribe, Primal Fear) is a well known name in the Melodic Metal scene. He is the man behind such great projects as Allen/Lande, The Codex, Kiske/Sommerville, Starbreaker and many more. By joining the band Primal Fear in 2008 he finaly established as one of the best songwriters in melodic metal.
This time Magnus presents us his first solo record "Free Fall" on June 11th in Europe and on June 14th in North America. But Karlsson wasn't alone at all ... many guests joined him on this new output. You see the tracklist (with guest musicians) below.

Attention to all power metal lovers: Swedish axeman Magnus Karlsson (Primal Fear, Last Tribe, mastermind behind the Allen/Lande project) started working on a solo album in october this year. The working title is "Free Fall". The LP will be released via Frontier Records. Karlsson confirmed a huge list of guest musicians, which I would like to share with you:
